Houston Rodeo

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 2011 schedule from March 1 – 20 is a such a powerful line up of Country Music legends and stars, it’s being hailed as the best yet.

Country music star Brad Paisley and chart-topping band Sugarland are among the many leading musicians making this year’s Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo considered the best yet.

It’s indeed rare that one event commands all of the beyond-stellar musicians Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Sugarland, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts and Brooks and Dunn, just to name a few.  And add performances by music icons Janet Jackson and KISS, and young pop sensation Selena Gomez, and it’s an event that does Houston and all of Texas super-proud.

The Houston Rodeo also features great Texas cuisine with stellar food and wine events all along the three week celebration of roping, riding, livestock exhibitions and competitions – so much fun for everyone in the family.  Chefs in Houston work night and day all March long to make every meal, from barbecues to innovative pairings at wine tastings, the absolute best.

On February 24, Winn Meat Company’s Houston team, led by Charlie Estrada, hosted our annual Chef’s Night Out celebration on February 24 to entertain and give all of the culinary leaders of Houston working to put Houston’s best flavors forward for the show a chance to relax and enjoy great beef and recipes themselves.
